She tells stories and distill ideas about design, architecture and the cityscape of Los Angeles, in print, broadcast media and public events.

Her primary focus is housing. She is the author of Common Ground: Multifamily Housing in Los Angeles (2022). It won this Gold award for Regional Nonfiction and has been widely covered, including in the New York Times, The Guardian, and the LA Times. For many years she hosted DnA: Design and Architecture radio show for KCRW public radio station, and she produced Warren Olney’s current affairs shows “Which Way, LA?” and “To The Point.”
