Daina Augaitis is a West Vancouver-based art curator, formerly the Chief Curator of the Vancouver
Art Gallery, whose exhibitions have toured Canada, the Americas and shown at the Reina Sofia Gallery,
Madrid. Over the past three years she and partner Andy Sylvester (Equinox Gallery) have funded and
supervised the conservation of Erickson’s second house and garden for artists Marion and Gordon Smith
(with Measured Architects assisting with the building, and Liana Sipelis on the garden restoration.)
Smith II immediately followed the Dyde House in 1964 and extends many of the design ideas originated
there.
