As the Senior Director of Learning and Community Engagement at the Chicago Architecture Center, Angela Esposito’s mission is to educate and activate learners of all ages to understand and interpret the built landscape. Angela is passionate about gaining access and exposure for underrepresented groups in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) fields such as architecture, engineering, construction, and urban planning.
For over 10 years, Angela worked as a residential designer and project superintendent, before entering a leadership role in the non-profit sector. A 2023 Crain’s Business Chicago awardee for Women of Note in the Sciences, and a 2020 Girls Inc of Chicago awardee, due to her championing programs for Chicago girls, she is often invited to speak to partners, educators and industry professionals about gender and inclusion in STEM fields, incorporating architecture into classroom curriculum, and Chicago’s rich architectural history.
