Jill A. Wiltse was born in 1948 in Owosso, Michigan, where she attended local schools and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with honors from Michigan State University in 1970. She owns Right Brain Unlimited, an environmentally responsible company she co-founded 19 years ago in Colorado, which does business as ‘Pet Pick-Ups’ that sells dispenser boxes and disposable mitts coast-to-coast to help dog walkers clean up after their pets. She currently resides in Denver with her husband, Kirk Brown, and with their bouviers, Grovy and Beau Peep, and several cats. Together, she and Kirk have jointly assembled a significant Hungarian art collection, and as well as a large post-WWII British textile collection, and artwork by the Bauhaus Master, herbert bayer.  She and her husband have also founded a non-profit organization, Design Onscreen, which produces documentary films only on architects and designers.

 

Kirk Brown was born in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1947, and after graduating from The Hill School in Pottstown, PA, attended Stanford University where he majored in English and received a BA degree in 1970. During college, he traveled extensively working as a deck hand in the US merchant marine, studied in Vienna and Mexico City, and taught English in Hong Kong with Volunteers-in-Asia. After college, he was employed in New York by Morgan Guaranty Trust Company for several years, and then worked in New York nine years for ship owners and operators, ultimately becoming the operations manager of a Greek ship owner in New York. After living in New York for 21 years, he moved to Denver in 1991 and started in business as a an independent in the oil and gas business, which business he continues to this day. He lives in Denver with his wife, Jill, and enjoys the company of the many animals which always seem to inhabit their house. He also loves to travel and to collect beautiful things. In 2008, together with Jill, he founded and funded Design Onscreen, which has to date produced 7 documentaries on architects and designers, and whose films have been shown around the world.  Design Onscreen has also organized or co-organized architecture and design film series in Palm Springs, Denver, Milan, Venice, Moscow, and New Zealand.
