Edward “Ted” Bosley is director of The Gamble House, the National Historic Landmark designed by Charles and Henry Greene. He publishes and lectures on architects Greene & Greene and the American Arts and Crafts Movement, and teaches Historic Site Management in the Heritage Conservation Master’s Degree program at the University of Southern California.

In addition to three monographs in Phaidon’s Architecture in Detail series, Mr. Bosley’s full-length book, Greene and Greene, was published by Phaidon Press Ltd. in 2000. With former Gamble House curator, Anne Mallek, Ted was co-editor of the book, “A New and Native Beauty: The Art and Craft of Greene & Greene,” published in 2008 by Merrell Publishers, Ltd. and was co-curator of the touring exhibition of the same name, which opened at The Huntington’s Boone Gallery in 2008 and traveled to the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery and the MFA Boston. More recently, Ted contributed an essay to Maynard Parker: Modern Photography and the American Dream (2012,Yale University Press), and was editor of and a contributor to The Gamble House: Building Paradise in California (CityFiles Press, 2015). Currently, Ted is co-curating an exhibit of the photography of Yasuhiro Ishimoto, to be exhibited at The Huntington Library, June to October, 2016.

A native of San Francisco, Mr. Bosley holds a BA in Art History from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management.
